We all know us Brits love a nice cuppa so here it is, new for 2012, The Tea Garden! Let our leafy experts , master herbalists and specialist tea companies educate and excite you with brand new product samplings and the latest innovations in tea. And what cup of tea wouldn’t be complete without a cupcake? (or three!)


Not since the days of Willy Wonka has such a delightful array of chocolate based goodies all been gathered into one place. Chomp your way through the yummy delights of The Chocolate Factory. Make sure you leave room for desert after visiting the Artisan Street Market and The Street Food Market – this area is not to be missed!


In the heart of Hyde Park’s picnic area La Cimbali will host The Sensory Espresso Bar; a dedicated space to professional espresso craft. Top coffee experts will be invited to take part at the stand serving the signature “Coffee of London” whilst honing their art. Ambassadors and coffee connoisseurs Rob Dunne and Victor Frankowski will be on hand to run the master classes. Find out more


What festival would be complete without live music? And do we have a line up for you! The Bandstand will feature some of the best acoustic talent London has to offer as well as headline act, Mobo Award winner and UK Coffee Week ambassador, John Adeleye.


Explore edgy ‘out of the box’ coffee shop experiences. Watch coffee being roasted before your eyes and soak up the delicious aroma at The Roastery. Talk coffee with the experts, be dazzled by live barista demos and experience your favourite London independent coffee shops at The True Artisans Café.


Baristas from around 18 different coffee shops and micro-roasteries will take over the café for a three hour slot, each serving signature drinks to visitors from La Marzocco's iconic Strada machine. Find out more


Discover what it takes to truly make the flavours in great quality coffee light up at their best. Like an orchestra conductor, our experienced coffee roasters balance an array of different notes within each bean, intuitively teasing out these taste notes letting them all sing in harmony. New for 2012, The Showroom will play host to the UK Barista Championships as well as showcasing the latest equipment innovation for both in and out of home. Test drive the baristas favourites or “try before you buy” the hottest, state of the art coffee brewing kits and accessories.


Join us as we celebrate the art of coffee making in what is considered the hardest of the SCAE competitions, testing coffee knowledge, presentation, preparation and all round barista ability. The winner of this year’s competition will represent the UK at the World Barista Championships in Vienna, Austria on 12th-15th June. Find out more


The Lab stage, located between the Soho and Shoreditch themed zones, will be running an exciting programme of live interactive demonstrations, workshops, talks, theatre, story telling and debates throughout the Festival. Find out more


During the festival The Brew Bar will be serving up great coffees in a variety of interesting brewing methods for all to taste. From stovetop to aeropress to dripper methods, The Brew Bar will be the place to find out more about these purist brewing techniques which can be easily replicated at home.


Learn more about the journey of the coffee bean from crop to your cup in this interactive zone. The Growing Community is powered by UK Coffee Week and The Allegra Foundation, raising funds for Project Waterfall to deliver clean water projects in coffee-producing African countries.


From artisan food stalls at The Street Food Market to the finest boutique roasters in The Artisan Producer Market, Shoreditch is the place to be seen admiring and sampling a range of gourmet food products and tasting the most unique coffee blends.


Food glorious food! What wouldn't we give for! This year the Shoreditch zone of the festival plays host to all things edible and delicious, and what a treat it will be! At The Street Food Market is where you will find hot food and ready-to-eat snacks, including: hog roast, gourmet burgers, Indian Rhoti Wraps, Dim Sum and Tex Mex.


Another area located in the Shoreditch zone dedicated to the roar of our bellies! Graze your way through the Artisan Market and taste an array of deli delights as well as tasting some gourmet coffee before you buy. This area is dedicated to food you can take home with you to continue the feast or even take to the picnic area at the festival and listen to some live music.  Think speciality cheese, meats, olives, breads and much more!
