More than 23,642 visitors (including 9,861 trade members) attended The London Coffee Festival from 30 April – 03 May at the Old Truman Brewery in East London.
The event featured latte art workshops, world music from the coffee belt, live roasting demonstrations, brewing tutorials, bespoke coffee creations, unique restaurant idea the White Label Kitchen and the festival’s popular Lab programme.
We also welcomed back festival favourites L’Accademia di Cimbali, the True Artisan CafĂ©, Union’s Pop-Up Roastery and the Make Decent Coffee Lounge, plus hundreds of other exhibitors, including BRITA, Square Mile Coffee & Faema.
We also witnessed some exciting product launches, including The Cafflano, La Marzocco’s Linea Mini, Assembly and several types of cold brew coffee – not to mention a huge selection of delectable coffee cocktails across the festival.
The highly anticipated Coffee Masters competition was incredibly popular as we watched 20 of the world’s top baristas compete head-to-head for the coveted Coffee Master title and £5,000 prize.
After an exciting final showdown between Patrik Rolf Karlsson and James Bailey the audience held their breath while the judges deliberated for what seemed like an eternity… until finally we found out that James Bailey from Workshop Coffee Co had become Coffee Master 2015.
