Baileys
When you think of Baileys, you probably don’t think of sunshine and palm trees. Well all that’s about to change, as winner of Best Stand in the 2016 Visitor’s Choice Awards Baileys, is shaking up convention and adding ice to the nation’s favourite boozy beverage.
That’s right, the delicious combination of Irish whiskey, Irish cream, vanilla, cocoa and fresh coffee is getting a face lift in time for summer. Last year saw Baileys collaborate with Molly Bakes to create a spin on the Freakshake, and this year’s Festival is set to have an equally exciting yet even more refreshing range of iced-Baileys surprises on offer.
Visit the Baileys stand and as well as learning how to recreate the icy drinks, you’ll be able to take home hints and tips from Baileys’ expert mixologists, handy recipe cards, and the feeling that you’ve just luxuriated in a lovely summer holiday.
Starbucks
Baileys isn’t the only cool-kid on the block it seems. Back for a fifth year, Starbucks is unveiling an exciting new range, with a different kind of flair at this year’s Festival.
Leading the lineup is Starbucks Nitro Cold Brew, which will roll out to up to 100 stores across the UK this summer. Starbucks Cold Brew is infused with nitrogen to unlock the super-smooth, natural sweetness of the coffee – watch as it cascades from the tap with a velvety and creamy texture.
Bringing together some of our most talented baristas from across the UK including UK Barista Champion Natalie Ashmore and EMEA Barista Champion from Portugal Fabio Neno, Starbucks will also be offering visitors a preview of its new Cold Brew Vanilla Sweet Cream and Cappuccino Freddo, due to launch in stores nationwide this May. You heard it here first...
Black Star Pastry & The Roasting Party
Reported to be the most Instagrammed dessert in Australia (if not the world!), Black Star Pastry’s Strawberry Watermelon Cake will be available to buy by the block (and slice, but let’s not kid ourselves) on The Roasting Party’s stand.
Fresh, light and fragrant, Black Star’s signature cake consists of two layers of almond dacquoise, rose-scented cream, watermelon, strawberries, pistachios and dried rose petals. Sounds even more delicious than Beyonce.
And that’s not all. The talented team at The Roasting Party have been working on a sensational edible treat of their own — a chocolate coffee cup that’s designed to withstand the heat of coffee #perfection. Camera phones at the ready guys.
UK Latte Art Champion and Roasting Party barista Dhan Tamang will be showing off his latte art skills at The Roasting Party’s stand, as well as on the Latte Art Live stage. Click here to find out more.
True Nopal
It's not not easy surviving in the Sonoran desert. But the Nopal cactus does, and it doesn’t just survive, it grows, it thrives, it even produces a fruit called the prickly pear. From it comes true Nopal cactus water; 100% natural hydration with no added sugar and half the calories of coconut water – and if that wasn’t enough it tastes great too. Clean, crisp, refreshing, light, and with berry undertones, it’s exactly what the doctor ordered after all that caffeine you’ll be consuming!
Volcano at Home
Festival veteran and Brixton based Volcano Coffee Works has been busy designing Nespresso compatible coffee pods for the last 18 months, and now they’re ready for their close-up! Developed with the expert guidance of Coffee Masters’ contender Nick Mabey, Volcano Home pods are 100 % compostable, 100 % independently owned and 100 % ethically traded to deliver you the independent coffee experience from the comfort of your own home.
