Thank You

From cutting-edge tech to ancient techniques, community camaraderie to fierce onstage rivalry - this year’s edition of LCF was truly epic. Here are some highlights, and a big heartfelt thank you to all the people who made it happen.

The London Coffee Festival 2019 was a big, sprawling mini-city, populated by over 29,400 attendees and buzzing with the unmatched energy of London’s incredible coffee scene. It was a high-energy celebration of all the things that make our global community amazing - and we were thrilled to bring some of coffee’s brightest stars and biggest fans to the Old Truman Brewery for four days of fun.

And boy, did we have fun - we cheered on deft-handed baristas as they made masterpieces out of milk (and milk alternatives) during Latte Art Live. We sampled specialty roasts from across the continent at the behemoth Roaster Village. We partied with Europe’s top baristas and sampled their signature specials at La Marzocco’s legendary True Artisan CafĂ©.

And who could forget the nail biting Coffee Masters final where Rob Calrijs’ perfect scoring signature drink that helped him take home the title? Undoubtedly a deserving champion in a neck-and-neck competition.

Industry innovators led inspiring panel talks and workshops in the Lab, from Tia Maria’s coffee cocktail masterclass to Danish Bakery’s delicious food pairing scandi brunch. And our taste buds got a proper flexing at La Cimbali’s Sensory Series, featuring a trio of alluring experiences that challenged all our perceptions.

During the hustle and bustle of the festival we took a moment to get mindful and appreciate coffee in a whole new way at the brand-new Mindful Coffee Tasting experience led by Caravan and mediation experts at Just Breathe.

We want to extend our deepest thank yous to all the people who made LCF 2019 such a joyous success. A special shout out to the incredible sponsors behind the Festival who helped make it all possible. It was such an electrifying weekend - the air at the Old Truman Brewery was buzzing with the passion and excitement of our incredible community.

We want to keep getting better and better, though, so please put down your unfiltered thoughts on our visitor survey. It’ll only take a few minutes and you could win a trip to Milan Coffee Festival in November!

See you next year!
