Time to Accessorise

24 April 2018

It’s the aftermath of The Festival, and don’t we deserve a few final treats?

The London Coffee Festival is over.  Withdrawal symptoms are normal. What’s key now is to focus on what you can do to keep the festival vibes going in your own home, and fill the void with something that will last long beyond the four-day celebration.

The answer? Accessorise.

Take the Coffee Masters competitors as inspiration. They spent four days brewing their hearts out with the finest equipment, wearing bespoke handmade aprons, and pouring into exceptional crockery. All of which you can have at home. Here are our recommendations:

Invest in a bespoke, handmade apron
The Traditional English Apron Company kitted-out our Coffee Masters contenders with a set of beautiful, bespoke handmade aprons. Built to go-the-distance, the British-made canvas and leather improves with age and wear, and the solid brass buckles and rivets serve to re-enforce weak points.

Fill your cupboard with top grade crockery
Let’s be honest; what’s a competition-winning coffee without a gorgeous cup and saucer to match? Trust ACME to serve pure crockery goals. Their new signature competition cups – bespoke for Coffee Masters – in new colours Whale and Rata, embossed with a gold Coffee Masters logo flew around the stage all weekend. Check out their full range of colours and stock your kitchen asap.

Challenge Yourself To A Pour-Off
If there's one thing that requires practise, it's latte art. The first thing you need is the La Marzocco Linea Mini; one of the best home espresso machines on the market. If you're not a pro yet, take your first tips from Dritan Alsela, and get into his tutorials here. Then, it's time to roll the Latte Art Dice. Each side is assigned a different pour, which will keep you busy until 2019. Then perhaps you can take to the stage for Latte Art Karaoke?
