Judged by a panel of industry figureheads, the fast-paced knockout battle format of Coffee Masters will see 16 baristas showcase their skills head-to-head across a broad range of disciplines. With a prize of £5000 on the bar, and the prestigious title of Coffee Master, the stakes are high.

/ THE MACHINE
Each of our Coffee Masters™ contestants flaunted their expertise on the Faema 'President'. Blending tradition and innovation, this sleek machine is made as much for the benefit of the barista as it is for optimum extraction. Featuring a GTi control system and three individual groups with intuitive, electromechanical control panels for managing different coffee varieties, and an adjustable drip tray that enhance both its flexibility and visual allure, it’s no wonder this machine is making its entrance to the Coffee Masters™ stage.

/ BREW LIKE A PRO
With over half a century’s experience designing and creating specialty equipment, Japanese heritage brand Hario are known around the world for quality, functionality and beautiful aesthetics. They will be bringing their classic V60 range with a twist – an exclusive Coffee Masters™ edition on stage.

/ THE GRINDER
Fiorenzato have an Italian history through and through that has spearheaded technological development in the world of coffee grinders and grinder-dosers for over eighty years.
The AllGround Grinder is equipped to offer the perfect granulometry for espresso, moka and all styles of filter coffee, ready to turn the soul of a coffee bean into an authentic taste sensation. AllGround burrs are made of M340 steel, titanium coating, are 64mm in diameter and can grind up to 1400 kg of coffee before needing to be replaced. Thanks to the geometry, and the inclinations specifically designed by the R&D team for AllGround, each type of grinding expresses the maximum performance and aroma.
The F83 E PRO Grinder ensures precise, consistently identical grinding and a perfect cup of coffee every time. At the tap of a finger. The PRO Line, is a new range of coffee grinder with a powerful detachable grinding chamber easy to release. Thanks to this innovation the maintenance operations of the grinder are simpler and faster, reducing the coffee retention and without modify the grinding point setting.

/ BATCH BREW WITH 3TEMP
Competitors will be able to win themselves valuable bonus point in The Brewing discipline by successfully brewing a small batch of their chosen coffee for you, the audience, to taste. We have a return from 3TEMP’s, PULS that adds a touch of modern style to any countertop including our stage! But PULS isn’t just a pretty face – it packs a serious punch, powered by the unparalleled technology of 3TEMP brewers and you’ll be able to see this live on stage.

/ THE PLANT-BASED
Alpro is back in a big way this year. That’s right, the plant-based baristas have done it again – bringing their now four-strong line-up of Oat, Soya, Coconut and Almond drinks to London Coffee Festival as the Plant Based Sponsor. In ‘The Order’ round of Coffee Masters™, our champions found out just how easy it is to work with the range, which has been developed specifically for baristas.

/ THE CUPS
Good coffee needs a good home – all of the Coffee Masters contenders’ creations will be poured into Loveramics’ meticulously-crafted cups. The British company has a clear aim: to produce contemporary pieces that are beautiful yet highly functional. Their stunning tableware doesn’t just look nice – it’s practically indestructible, made with highly-durable porcelain fired to 1300°C.

/ THE MILK
Our good friends at Stores will be delivering Trewithen Dairy milk to the coffee community at LCF. Think full-bodied milk which easily and consistently creates a stable microfoam for a creamy, smooth mouth-feel. Trewithen Dairy milk comes from a mix of Cornish dairy herds: Brown Swiss, Friesian, Holsteins and Jerseys, used specifically for the balance between protein for the consistent foam and high butterfat content to produce the perfect milk for coffee.

/ THE BEANS
Magic happens when a talented barista uses the very best coffee, so we’re buzzing that Pact Coffee is providing the beans. They source around 200 coffees from 9 different origins throughout the year. And they make a positive impact at source by paying significantly higher than the Fairtrade base price. They introduce UK consumers to the outstanding flavours in speciality coffee, while helping farmers achieve their goals - for themselves and their communities. For our Coffee Masters 2023, they’re keeping the origins used top secret to put our baristas’ senses to the test.
