Coffee Bio:
Since the age of 16, coffee has been a huge part of her life. What started as a barista job in a small town cafe quickly became something she genuinely fell in love with. Coffee has given her the opportunity to learn, grow and make incredible relationships with amazing people.
As Head Barista at 22, she found her place within the creative side of coffee, crafting menus, honing recipes and diving into the science of a good brew. With a few SCA qualifications under her belt, Roisin took a step into the world of roasting, learning the journey every bean takes from farm to cup - giving her an even deeper appreciation for the craft.
Eventually she found herself back behind a bar, where she feels that she can make a difference every day. There's something special about making someone the best cup of coffee I possibly can, and forming relationships while using her creativity to serve her community. Through all the different places, her passion for coffee has only grown and my curiosity keeps driving my creativity. She'll always be grateful to be a part of it!
Art Bio:
Roisin's Illustration practice has grown in harmony with her coffee career, with the two constantly influencing and informing each other. Her experience with the people, rituals and moments that surround coffee have inspired her artwork at every step.
She's drawn to the characters and stories found in everyday life, documenting them and bringing them to life with graphics, type and colour. Drawing from the textures and tools of coffee, the energy of a community space and even the shapes found in the dregs of every finished cup!
Her illustrations are a way of observing the world, and translating that into bold shapes, bright colours and line work that invokes energy and playfulness.
As a creative person, she feels that coffee and creativity are linked by a love of crafting, story telling, and creating moments to connect people.
