Sonja started her career in management consulting before moving into commodities trading at a large plc. Over ten-years ago she joined an innovative specialty coffee retail brand, launching in Singapore and London and has been in coffee ever since. Sonja joined Well Grounded in 2019, inspired by the organisation’s mission to support Britain’s unemployed to access and thrive in sustainable careers in coffee. Today, Sonja heads up the organisation's commercial strategy as Chief Commercial Officer, supporting the organisation's growth into new regions across the country through innovative collaborations with industry and corporate partners, helping more people into work in the industry. As a female leader, wife and mother of two, she is passionate about diversity in the workplace and ensuring that women succeed and progress in the industry.
