What's your favourite coffee filter recipe, and why?
It includes both immersion and perlocation. Using Hario Switch, open valves for first 2 pours (to allow max extraction for acidity and sweetness); then close value for immersion at a lower temperature and to minimize chances of over-extracting unpleasant flavours. Ratio usually goes 1:14 for me but it depends.
Describe an innovative coffee creation or technique you use that isn't commonly used or known:
Kruve sieve. I love exploring what uniformity of grinds can do or cannot do. It's rarely seen in coffee shops or home brew but when I’m in a brewing comp, I sometimes utilize it just as my debut in AeroPress 2024, in which I came second.
Tell us about any additional skills or experiences you believe will be valuable in the competition:
One thing different from last year's entry would be I hope I'll be roasting for my own coffee element for signature drink since I have purchased a roasting machine to start my micro-roastery in London. Making the signature drink fully my DNA.
