Elle's Coffee Background:
A young girl walks into a newly opened coffee roasters in Northampton to enquire about any job opening- stating that she hates coffee & has never working in a coffee shop previously. The owner asks "Can you wash up?" and little did the young girl know her life would take such an extraordinary turn from there. Elle began her coffee journey at 18 in a newly opened roastery in her hometown, the now prolific Yellow Bourbon Coffee Roasters, under the mentorship of Steve Peel (owner), a roaster from Monmouth Coffee Company who branched out into his own venture in 2017 and Catia Coelho (manager), now owner of Satõ Coffee in Aargau, Switzerland. From washing up, to tasting, to barista-ing, to roasting, to green coffee buying in Brazil; Over the 5 years spent in the company, Elle had the opportunity of developing several skills within the coffee industry before leaving for University to study music in London. During this time Elle continued to work in several reputable Specialty coffee shops around London as both a Barista and hosting workshops centred around tasting and cupping. Although Elle is now a full-time music professional, she still carries out freelance coffee consultancy and training jobs, most recently working with Small Facet, a roasters in Beckenham, to help set up a wholesale account for a new client in Sydenham. Elle's two worlds of music and coffee now quite literally collide as she takes to the decks with her partner, Wesley, at London Coffee Festival 2026!
